Are you fitting locks to fire doors? Increasingly Fire Officers specify intumescent lock protection to be fitted as it is an area most likely to suffer failure in a fire situation. In the event of a fire the intumescent rapidly expands to provide additional protection to the lock cavity area, helping maintain the door’s integrity. Top Tip
