Lighting-Buyers'-Guide

Colour temperature The colour temperature of the light can a ect the mood and look of the space. Warmer light that has a more yellow tone may be used in areas such as restaurants and bars to create a relaxing setting. In contrast, cooler light that is towards the white or blue end of the spectrum may be used in hotel room bathrooms to create a fresh, energising feeling. Colour temperature is measured in degrees Kelvin (K). The warmer the light, the lower the number will be. For example, candlelight has a colour temperature of around 2000K while daylight is around 6500K.
